It's a Matter of Life or Death!

Full text:
THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH
THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE

IT'S A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH!

The double message on the other side of this turn-around card is taken from the Bible in Romans 6:23: "The wages of sin is death; BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." The only way anyone can have eternal life is through trusting Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, as personal Saviour.
Won't you repent of your sins and turn your life over to Him today? By doing so, you will be "passed from death unto life" (John 5:24).

Important Days

Full text:
Day of Death (unknown) "I know not the day of my death. The wages of sin is death" (Genesis 27:2; Romans 6:23).
Day of Salvation (now) "Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Day of Judgment (coming) God "hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world" (Acts17:31).
Death and judgment are guaranteed, but today can be the day of your salvation!
Christ, who died for sinners, says to you, "He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life" (John 5:24). Turn to Him, repent of your sin, and trust Him today.
"Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts." (Hebrews 3:7,8)

Wages or Gift?

Full text:
Would you rather get what you've earned, or what you couldn't possibly afford?
When it comes to eternity, TAKE THE GIFT!
God says, "All have sinned" and "The WAGES of sin is death" (Romans 3:23;6:23). Even the best things we do are just "filthy rags" in God's perfect, holy sight (Isaiah 64:6). We could never earn a place in Heaven.
The good news is, "The GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Jesus paid for this wonderful GIFT when He died on the cross as our substitute. Turn to Him in repentance and accept this free GIFT today!

If You Never Know

Full text:
If you never know me, you'll miss nothing.
If you never know Jesus, you'll miss everything!

How to know Him

"We know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life. This is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent" (1 John 5:20, 13; John 17:3).

Whosoever

Full text:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

"And WHOSOEVER was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:15)
WHOSOEVER means YOU!

By using the word "whosoever," both of the verses on the other side show that your eternal destiny— either "eternal life" or "the lake of fire"—is determined by your choice. If you choose to believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, and trust Him to be your Saviour, you will be part of the first "whosoever." But if you choose to reject Him, you will be part of the second one.

"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).

You Have an Appointment

Full text:
When: The last day (John 12:48)
Where: God's throne (Revelation 20:11)
Why: Judgment for your sin (Hebrews 9:27)
To cancel your appointment, you must follow the instructions on the other side of this card.
To cancel your appointment, you must call upon the Lord before it is too late:
You and I could never pass God's righteous judgment. He has already declared: "There is none righteous, no, not one" (Romans 3:10).
Thankfully, God has provided the way for us to have our sins forgiven. Jesus, the Son of God, died for sinners, taking upon Himself the punishment we all deserve. Will you trust Him today? If you call upon Him, He will take away your sin and you will not face God's judgment.
"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:9,13).

Does God Believe in Religious Tolerance?

It is a wonderful thing to live in a country where there is freedom to worship God (or not) as you choose. Many people living in the world today do not have such liberties. But is our society’s religious tolerance blinding us to the fact that it really does matter what you believe? The real question is: does God believe in religious tolerance?

Jesus Is The Only Way To God

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14:6). Notice that Jesus did not say, “I am a way,” just one of many ways to God. He said, “I am the way,” the only way to God.

All Other Ways End In Destruction

Jesus said, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat” (Matthew 7:13). According to Jesus Himself, the way to Heaven is narrow and found by few, while the way to Hell is wide and traveled by many.

God Demands Repentance

“The times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent” (Acts 17:30). Repentance means changing your mind. God says that if you follow any other way than His way, you are living in “ignorance” and need to change your mind. That doesn’t sound very tolerant, does it?

The Truth Matters

“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 16:25). Tolerance makes for a nice country to live in, but having the freedom to believe something doesn’t make it true. Truth matters to God, and it is only by knowing, accepting, and following the truth that we can be spiritually alive and free.

What Is The Truth?

What is the truth about Jesus? He is God’s one and only Son, who suffered and died because of our sins: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). “Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God” (1 Peter 3:18).
What is the truth about us? God’s verdict of mankind is not pretty. Without His salvation, we are all “dead in sins … having no hope” (Ephesians 2:5,12). However, our sins will be taken away “if we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification” (Romans 4:24,25).

Will You Accept The Truth?

You can go on believing some other “truth” about God and about yourself, or you can accept what God says. It’s your choice. Jesus said, “If ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins … If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:24,31-32).
We urge you to turn to God and put your trust in Jesus Christ today: “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life” (Deuteronomy 30:19).

Illusions

Full text of tract:
Illusions are fun because they challenge our sense of reality. We see them everywhere, from tricks in magic shows to special effects in movies, and can usually tell the difference between what is real and what is not.
But did you know that there are some deceptions which millions of people fall for every day? They are the work of the master illusionist, Satan, who is called “the father of lies” in the Bible (John 8:44). He has been tricking people into disobeying God since the beginning of time, and is an experienced deceiver. Have you fallen for any of Satan’s illusions?

Illusion #1: This life is all that matters

We can get so caught up in this life that we pay no attention to eternal realities. God says that is foolish: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).

Illusion #2: If it feels good, do it

Should we care about what we do? Is there such a thing as right and wrong? God says we will reap what we sow: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7).

Illusion #3: There is no Hell

If you start to ponder what comes after this life, Satan may try to convince you that there is nothing to worry about. God says otherwise: “Fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).

Illusion #4: Everyone goes to Heaven

Another much-believed lie is that no people will ever have to go to Hell. While it’s true that Hell was created for Satan and his angels, the Bible says that those who fall under Satan’s deceptions will go there as well: “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41).

Illusion #5: You’re not that bad

Every time we answer one of Satan’s lies, you can be sure that he has another one ready to go. Are we really bad enough to go to Hell? God’s Word says: “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Illusion #6: You can earn Heaven

Once we admit that we have sinned, the next lie we often fall for is that we have probably done enough good to overcome our faults. However, in God’s eyes “we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses [good works] are as filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6).

Illusion #7: You’re too bad

Sadly, lots of people fall for this one, too. Yes, it’s true that we have all messed up. But it’s also true that God stands ready to help us: “Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37).
Why does God want us to come to Him? Because He loves us. He loves you, and He loves me—not because we have earned it, but because He chooses to. God proved His love for us when He sent His only Son, Jesus, into the world because of our sins (Romans 5:8).
When Jesus died on the cross, He made the way for sinners like you and me to be brought back to God. Our sin was like a debt that needed to be paid; Jesus paid it. Our sin was like a sentence that needed to be served; Jesus served it. Our sin was like a burden that needed to be lifted; Jesus lifted it.
Now He is using messages like this to awaken people to their need of Him, to “turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins” (Acts 26:18). Don’t fall for Satan’s illusions any more. Turn to God and put your faith in someone you can trust—Jesus Christ—TODAY!

The Greatest Journey

About 2,000 years ago, Jesus, the Son of God, left His home in Heaven and came to Earth. It was the beginning of the greatest journey ever made.
How Did He Come? Jesus didn’t travel in a spaceship, or ride a shooting star. He was born as a baby to Mary, who was told by an angel of God that she would be His mother.
Where Did He Come? Mary and her husband Joseph lived in a small town called Nazareth in the country of Israel. But they had to take a trip to Bethlehem, and that is where Jesus was born.
Why Did He Come? Jesus made the long journey from Heaven because it was a very important part of God’s plan. He came to Earth and became a man so He could save us from our sins and we could go to Heaven. God loves us so much that He gave us the best gift ever!
How Did He Grow Up? After He was born as a baby, Jesus got bigger and stronger, just like you. What made Him different, though, is that He never did anything wrong. He never cheated at a game, or told a lie, or disobeyed His parents.
What Did He Do? After Jesus grew up, He started teaching people about God. He also did many miracles, like healing the sick and even bringing dead people back to life.
Why Did He Die? The most important thing Jesus did was die on the cross to take away our sins. Because He was perfect, He had no sins to be punished for. But He took God’s punishment for our sins instead.
Where Did He Go? After Jesus died, He rose again and went to Heaven. How can we go to Heaven with Him? First, we need to realize that we are sinners who need God’s help to be made ready for Heaven. Then we must trust what Jesus has done for us, by believing that He died for us and rose again.
“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).
